Since 2017, Mark has been a leader within Education Market Association (EDmarket), the premier trade organization for the educational products marketplace. Mark is the immediate past chairperson of the EdMarket Association Executive Council.
Mark is the Chairperson for L.E.A.R.N. (Learning Environment Action Research Network), a 501(c)(3) organized to enhance learning environments with actionable strategies and solutions from analysis and development of research, utilizing a network of education industry partners.
Paragon is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Mark is active presenter of CEU accredited course offerings.
Prior to purchasing Paragon, Mark worked 12 years in the Capital Markets/Financial Services industry in various positions. In the 5 years immediately preceding the acquisition of Paragon, Mark was a Vice President with the investment bank Lehman Brothers, Inc. At Lehman Brothers, Mark’s work focused on liquidity and risk management strategies for affiliates of publicly held corporate clients.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts, Mark lives in Dallas, Texas with wife Allison and their three children. Mark has served in volunteer leadership roles with the North Texas Make-A-Wish Foundation®, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital®, and Baylor Health Care System Foundation®. Mark is the son of a former K12 teacher and believes great schools are imperative to building extraordinary communities.
